ParkPlay in Herts

What is ParkPlay? 

ParkPlay is two hours of FREE fun every Saturday in local parks and open spaces. It’s delivered by the local community, for the local community. People of all ages are welcome to join in the active and inclusive games. It's a safe, welcoming way to connect and have fun!

Interested in becoming a ParkPlay PlayLeader?

PlayLeaders are at the heart of ParkPlay. They help bring people together, create a welcoming atmosphere and make sure everyone can enjoy being active, having fun and connecting with others.

You don’t need to commit to every week, and you’re welcome to bring your family along too.

PlayLeaders:

• Set up ParkPlay before ParkPlayers arrive
• Lead games and keep the buzz going
• Build relationships with ParkPlayers
• Welcome ParkPlayers to ParkPlay
• Make sure everyone is included and involved
• Scan ParkPlay Passes and report any accidents.

ParkPlay will provide:

• Full support and training, including an enhanced DBS, first aid qualification, safeguarding, tech, safety and promotion.
• Access to the PlayLeader digital community with over 200 members.
• Guides, support on Saturdays, monthly newsletter of ideas and top tips.
• Resources, equipment, games and kit.

It's fantastic to have a couple of hours on a Saturday just to let my hair down, embrace my inner child and get some fresh air. The PlayLeaders who guide the sessions are great, they make everyone feel really welcome and relaxed. My kids come along with me too and the smiles on their faces say it all really  - they absolutely love it!
