The next HAPpy programme will take place during the Christmas school holidays in December 2026. HAPpy Camps provide a range of fun experiences for eligible children, including:

• Physical activity

• Enrichment

• A healthy meal and snacks .

Booking codes and further information will be shared in mid-late November.

School age children from Reception to Year 11 who are in receipt of benefits related free school meals (BR-FSM) are eligible to attend HAPpy Camps. To attend winter HAPpy activities, a child must currently be in Reception to Year 11 (school year 2026-27) and must turn 5 years old before 1 September 2027. Children still in nursery are not eligible. 

Please Note : All children (regardless of family income or benefits) receive Universal Infant Free School Meals in KS1 - this does not mean your child is automatically eligible for HAPpy. Infant (KS1) pupils must also meet the eligibility criteria and register for benefits related free school meals to be able to access a place on the HAF programme. 

Only children who have been registered for benefits related FSM in Hertfordshire will receive a booking code. 

To ensure you receive the booking instructions in good time, please ensure that your child has been registered for benefits related free school meals (BR-FSM) on the Hertfordshire County Council website. Cick here for more information and to register for FSM.
