Protecting Children

Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU)

The Child Protection in Sport Unit is a partnership between the NSPCC, Sport England, Sport Northern Ireland and Sport Wales.

The CPSU work with UK Sports Councils, National Governing Bodies (NGBs), Active Partnerships and other organisations to help them minimise the risk of child abuse during sporting activities. This includes an annual review process where The Herts Sports Partnerships and other Sport England funded bodies must demonstrate they meet the Safeguarding Standards.

The CPSU also have a range of resources and information to help support all sporting and physical activity organisations develop appropriate safeguarding processes.
