Book HAPpy Camps

The next HAPpy programme will take place during the 2026 Winter School Holidays. Activities will be running on these dates:

• Monday 21 December

• Tuesday 22 December

• Wednesday 23 December

• Tuesday 29 December

• Wednesday 30 December

• Thursday 31 December

The HAPpy: Holiday Activity Programme is available for children and young people who:

• Are in Reception to year 11
• Attend School in Hertfordshire
• Who are in receipt of Targeted (previously known as benefits related) free school meals.

Note: All children (regardless of family income or benefits) receive Universal Infant Free School Meals in KS1 – this does not mean the child is eligible for HAPpy Camps.

From September 2026, a child must also be registered for benefits-based free school meals and fall into the 'Targeted' category to be eligible to attend HAPpy activities.

Please contact your child's school if you have questions about their free school meal eligibility or if you ned assistance to register for benefits-based free school meals.

If eligible, you will receive a unique HAPpy booking code for each of your children. Codes will be sent out in November to the email address used to register your child/ren on the DfE free school meals database. You will need this unique booking code to register your children and be able to book activities via the new HAPpy Booking system.

You must pre-register your children on the new HAPpy Booking system before you search for and book activities. We recommend you register any children, where possible, before bookings open on w/c 23rd November.

If you need any further help or support, please contact us on 01707 284229, email HAPpyCamps@herts.ac.uk.
