Last week, staff from Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership (HSP) joined charity partner Goods for Good for its Nepal Packathon, helping to prepare supplies for families affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.
The event brought together members of the Hertfordshire community to pack boxes of clothing and other essential items, ready to be transported to communities in Nepal where they are most needed.
Goods for Good is a charity who have supported HSP in providing thousands of Hertfordshire residents with new clothing, footwear and accessories, helping to remove barriers and enable more people to participate in sport and physical activity.
Through this support, individuals and communities across Hertfordshire have been able to access items that make taking part in physical activity more accessible.
The Nepal Packathon provided an opportunity for HSP staff to give back to an organisation that has made a significant contribution to local communities, while supporting its wider humanitarian work.
Supporting the next stage
With the boxes now packed, Goods for Good are raising funds to help cover the cost of transporting these supplies to Nepal.
Anyone interested in supporting the initiative or finding out more about the work of Goods for Good can visit the Goods for Good website or make a donation towards the appeal here.
