No Limits 2026 is led by the Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership (HSP) working closely with the Herts Disability Sports Foundation - Herts Disability and the Activity Alliance.

The year-long campaign aims to break down barriers and create lasting change in how disabled people access and experience sport and physical activity in Hertfordshire.

The campaign is here to support and empower disabled people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences to move more, and find new activities which suit them. It’s about increasing access to inclusive opportunities across Hertfordshire — making it easier to find, join, and enjoy sport and physical activity, no matter who you are or your current activity level.

The Facts

  • Adults with a limiting illness or disability are twice as likely to be inactive compared to those without.
  • 23.5% of disabled people in Hertfordshire currently do no physical activity.
  • The benefits of being active are three to four times greater for disabled people.
  • Yet, barriers like transport, cost, confidence, and lack of awareness persist.

Objectives

This campaign is here to make sport and physical activity more visible, more inclusive, and more effective for disabled people. It will grow what’s already working and be the catalyst for new community-led initiatives. It will bring in funding to scale up delivery, and support organisations to create spaces that feel genuinely welcoming. Coaches and leaders will be equipped with the skills and confidence to work with disabled people across sports, whilst disabled people’s voices will be amplified through our ambassador programme. The goal is clear: to build lasting, meaningful ways for disabled people to confidently stay active.

What to Expect in 2026

2026 will be a landmark year for disability sport and physical activity in Hertfordshire. No Limits 2026 will deliver a wave of inclusive, empowering, and high-impact initiatives designed to break down barriers for disabled people. Throughout 2026, expect to see the campaign spotlight a range of opportunities for disabled people to get active, from local community sessions to county-wide events and festivals. The campaign will also advocate inspiring ambassador stories, share practical toolkits, and highlight powerful insights that will help partners and individuals understand why this is so important. No Limits 2026 isn’t just aiming to raise awareness; it’s looking to empower action.
