Prescription to Participation: A Social Prescribing & Physical Activity Webinar
Explore how your physical activity offer can support health professionals, reach new audiences, and help tackle health inequalities.

Physical activity providers across Hertfordshire are invited to attend an online MS Teams webinar on Tuesday 9th September 2025, between the times of 9.30am – 11.30am, aimed at how to better understand the landscape and role of personalised care.
Hosted by the Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership, attendees can expect the webinar to highlight the role and importance of social prescribing, how physical activity supports personalised care, clarify key roles and offer practical steps for engaging local personalised care partners.
Research demonstrates physical activity as a vital component of social prescribing, offering strong potential to ease growing pressures on the NHS. Physical activity lowers the risk of major diseases like heart disease and diabetes, boosts mental wellbeing by reducing anxiety and depression, and helps people manage chronic conditions for healthier, longer lives.
In addition, there will be a variety of speakers on the day talking through a range of case studies, highlighting the best practice and learnings from the collaboration between social prescribing and physical activity provision.
