Below are some organisations who could help you deliver and enhance the opportunities for participants at your camp.
Stevenage Museum
Brief description of services: As a local museum we have galleries that tell the story of the town from pre-history to the modern day and we usually offer a busy holiday activity and events programme using history as a starting point but usually including lots of arts activities. We are looking for alternative delivery models to support local people while we remain shut (currently scheduled to re-open 1 September). I’m currently in discussion about onsite visits before we re-open but we can also take the museum out to people!
Cost for delivery: If funding is available, it would help our budgets, but we can provide services at a reduced rate. We usually charge £3 per child for our holiday activity programmes for an hour long session.

British Schools Museum
Brief description of services: We offer Victorian (early or late) lessons with an additional option to explore the Headmaster’s House and examine Victorian social systems. These can be adapted for children of any age. Both sessions take 1h – a typical day will start at 10am and finish around 12.30pm.
Cost: £100 for a Victorian lesson for up to 30 children and adults. £100 for the Headmaster’s House session.

The FoodFriend Network
Brief description of services: I can provide; cooking for groups, cookery and nutrition classes for parents and/or children. Through the years, I have done many courses on cooking, food and nutrition including Food Hygiene and Safety, at Leith’s School of Food and Wine, West London. I have experience of running cookery courses for the homeless and am currently cooking weekly for a local homeless hostel and co-running a cookery club for people with mild learning disabilities and mental health issues. I also have an allotment and am part of a community garden development.
Cost: I will do this on a voluntary basis and am happy to work alone, co-work or support.

Hertfordshire Mind Network
Brief description of services: Spot the Signs & Emotional Wellbeing is a fully-funded programme offering training and workshops to children and young people. The aim of the Five Ways to Wellbeing session is to introduce 5 basic strategies grounded in research that children and young people can use to maintain and improve their wellbeing. The workshop comprises practical activities to increase basic awareness of mental health, self-care and monitoring, as well as learning alternative places for support.

Imajica Theatre
Brief description of services: We can provide interactive workshops all workshop performances that focus on the health and well being of young people, getting them actively participating in the performing arts, in singing, dancing and drama. Promoting positivity and an I can do It attitude, and that I am good enough!

Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust
Brief description of services: The type of services we could offer wildlife-related activities such as pond dipping, simple species surveying, wildlife spotting and identification, guided walks, mindfulness in nature, litter picking.
Cost: We would need to cover the cost of the staff member’s time for prep and delivery, plus any equipment needed for the activity.
Location: We operate across Hertfordshire. We also manage some large nature reserves in places that have good facilities – Cassiobury Park in Watford, Kings Meads in Ware, Panshanger Park near Hertford, Stanborough Lakes in Welwyn Garden City, Tring Reservoirs and Stocker’s Lake in Rickmansworth.

Courtyard Arts and Community Centre
Brief description of services: We are a physical community centre based in Hertford and for the last 25 years have provided art classes and workshops for the community. For this project we could create lesson plans and art enrichment activities. Our venue is too small to offer to create a full programme of events ourselves but if other partners are struggling with the creative/enrichment element we’d be happy to partner up and offer our expertise.
Cost: We could provide custom packs of art materials and lesson plans for different needs. The cost of these would depend on what was wanted/how many/age groups/facilities at venue etc but we’re able to access discounted rates from suppliers. We could create lesson plans for partners to facilitate or could potentially provide additional staff to deliver activities if required.
Location: We’re based in Hertford and most of our tutors are local to us. If we were providing art packs and lesson plans, we could cover any area.

Saracens Foundation
Description of services: At Saracens Foundation our ‘Sarries In My School’ project offers Street Dance, Cheerleading, Stretch and Grow, Dance fitness, Gymnastics, TikTok, Acro Dance and Musical Theatre classes. We aim to support in impacting young people’s physical and mental health and well-being through our classes, which has many benefits such as physical activity, mindfulness, stimulation, socialization and improves concentration.
Cost for delivery: Our cost is £40 per hour for the first two hours and hours after that it will be discounted at £30 per hour. If you would like us to provide two coaches the cost will double.

Brief description of services: A high quality, lively one hour music activity. Music sessions include the ‘Gumboots Dance’, Djembe Drumming, Junk Percussion, African Dance and Bucket drumming.

Hannah Pickett Dance
Brief description of services: Hannah Pickett Dance delivers inspiring and engaging contemporary dance sessions that build confidence, creativity and communication and empowers children to express themselves through movement and teamwork. Each class is creatively tailored to suit all ages and abilities and can be based on curriculum topics to reinforce, enrich and extend academic learning. The fun, active dance sessions challenge students to work together to explore a range of contemporary dance movements and use their performing and creative skills to communicate and present their ideas.
Cost for delivery if there is any: My costs range from £105-£200 for day and half day workshops + travel expenses (depending on location). An hourly cost can be provided for specific project work.

The food hygiene rating reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of the inspection by the local authority. The food hygiene rating is not a guide to food quality.
You should discuss your HAPpy programme with the food business, making sure they can meet your needs and adhere to the funding guidelines before you engage their services.
Physical Activity
There needs to be at least one hour of physical activity each day within your programme and some of these organisations may be able to provide you with a coach to deliver that element for you.
Badminton England (not available for Easter 2022)
Brief description of services: A Badminton England coach free to providers in Broxbourne and Welwyn and Hatfield as part of a lottery grant from The East Herts Community Badminton Network, Hertfordshire Junior Badminton Association and Welwyn Hatfield Community Badminton Network which is specific to these geographical areas.

British Cycling

Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (with activities at Lee Valley White Water Centre)

Explore Kayaking: Our Explore Kayaking sessions are fun for all the family and take place on our crystal clear lake. These fun and relaxed sessions are a great way to paddle with your kids or friends on our lake. The experience will last for 60 minutes; this includes a safety brief and kit distribution with up to one hour on the water. Once you’re fully briefed, you’ll be ready to get started! No previous experience necessary – you can improve your skills as you go!

Explore Paddleboarding: Our paddleboarding sessions are fun for all the family! Discover the world of Stand Up Paddle Boarding on our crystal clear lake and have fun or relax whilst you paddle with your kids or friends. British Triathlon
Brief description of services: Active Skills for Life Summer Camp packs: British Triathlon has opened it’s doors to new and different organisations by offering a resource to help support HAF activity deliverers to host fun swim, bike and run activities for their children. You don’t need any specific qualification to use an Active Skills for Life Summer Camp pack and you don’t even need access to a pool – it really is as simple as can be! Each pack includes 50 session plans, with easy-to-understand instructions and diagrams, as well as suggestions to make each activity easier or more challenging. Challenge the children to collect stickers (included in the pack) at each and every session, for achieving skills or displaying core values.
Cost: The packs are designed for 7-11 years old of 11- 14 years old. Each pack costs £200 (+VAT) and includes 30 certificates and sticker packs, which can be topped up as needed.

Super Star Sport UK
Description of services: Sports and physical education specialists, currently offering OFSTED approved physical education meeting the national curriculum to primary schools across the UK. Our coaches are all DBS checked, peadiatric first aid and safeguarding trained. As well as this, they hold many relevant sports and teaching qualifications. We also specialise in working with the early years. We aim to deliver all of our sessions in a fun, engaging and positive way.
Cost: £45 + VATph. Not only is this the cost of delivery but we also include session plans, home learning videos and physical education reports as an added extra, which will assist providers in showing evidence of what the children have learnt.

Brief description of services: We are a not-for-profit sports social enterprise. We specialise in inclusive sports activities in Football, Dodgeball, Rounders and Multi Sports.
Cost: A cohort of two coaches will total £100 per hour. The costings will also include the equipment and travel costs. Per additional coach will be £35 per hour.

Imagination Dance (CIC)
Brief description of services: Imagination Dance provide dance and movement opportunities for those who are rarely offered them. We encourage everybody to participate as much as possible and put the focus on enjoying yourself and taking part, as opposed to a perfect performance. We are specialists in inclusive dance so working with SEND pupils, as well as being highly experienced in working with primary and secondary pupils.

Game On Sports Coaching
Brief description of services: This year Game On is celebrating its 20th anniversary and we currently work in 81 Primary schools delivering 11 different sports – Football, Athletics, Tennis, Rounders, Street Dance, Gym, Hockey, Basketball, Dodgeball, Cricket and Tag-Rugby. We deliver both PE lessons, extra curricular clubs and school holiday courses throughout the year.
Cost: The cost of these services do vary depending on the length and quantity of the agreement and I would be happy to discuss with you.

Tring Squash Club
Description of services: We can provide sessions of physical activity for all age groups. Including fitness, balance, agility and racket/ball skills. Pop up hitting walls allow kids to have a chance at learning to play some squash. These activities are easy to learn and something the kids can then do at home ( any ball will do). These can be carried out in a hall/ large room or outside (flat ground not grass). Equipment is provided.
Cost for delivery: Sessions start at £15 / hour. This would provide one coach for a group of 10 children (over 8 years age). Younger children (under 8) would need one coach per 4 children.
