HAPpy Holiday Activities programme continued for 2025

Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership is delighted to announce confirmation from the Department for Education, that the Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF), known as HAPpy in Hertfordshire, will continue for a further 12 months. This funding, which is received by Hertfordshire County Council, will enable the programme to continue to offer activities in the 3 core holiday periods throughout 2025. 

The programme, available to those receiving benefits-related free school meals, offers a vital opportunity for children across Hertfordshire to engage in a wealth of physical activity and enrichment opportunities. Including a hot meal, the HAPpy Programme ensures children continue to have access to the provision normally available to them during term time.  

We know how valuable these opportunities are to families, following the Winter programme, one parent shared: 

‘Thank you so much for these clubs. Wow! They were amazing. It's just what we needed for rest and what the kids needed to be active and be with other kids. 

How amazing that they got fed too and all for free. Massive thank you from us’ 

Commissioned by Hertfordshire County Council, HSP will continue to work with Hertfordshire Community Foundation, to offer HAPpy opportunities across Hertfordshire during the Spring, Summer and Winter school holiday periods.  

HAPpy camps will run every weekday during the Spring (Easter) holidays, from;

                                               Monday 7th April until Thursday 17th April. 

Families of eligible children, in receipt of benefits related free school meals, will receive their booking codes and link to book via their schools from early March. 

Bookings will open on Thursday 13th March 2025 at 12 noon.
