FREE ‘Get Cycling’ Training

We would like to invite your Early Years staff (Support and Teacher level) to attend FREE ‘Get Cycling’ training.

We know from school practitioners that you’re still experiencing the impact of the pandemic on the physical literacy of children in the early years in particular. HSP want to support you with this free training, aimed as an intervention program, getting those children you can identify in playground, who need to get started on their cycle journey and become more physically active.

This free course will equip your staff with the practical understanding and experience to deliver the Get Cycling cycle training in your setting. This will include balance biking, learn to ride and fun skills activities for those who can ride. Our focus is the Balance Biking stage for your Early Years staff and children.

  • 9th October – County Hall, Hertford

  • 30 October – Watford Cycle Hub

Prior to the course, staff are required to complete the online training and familiarise yourself with the resources as these will be referred to throughout the practical day. The link to the online training will be sent to staff once booked and will take up to an hour to complete.

We also have a limited number of balance bikes available to help Early Years settings get started. Details of availability will be published in due course, along with other opportunities to get support in sourcing equipment.
