Free Bid Writing Service for projects that improve environmental sustainability
HSP has partnered with Funding4Sport, who will provide FREE support for Hertfordshire based sport organisations, to help them access green funding.
HSP has partnered with Funding4Sport, a specialist sport and physical activity bid writing service, to provide FREE 1-1 support for up to 10 sports clubs or organisations to help them access vital funds for their projects linked to environmental sustainability.
“Sport has a great opportunity to lead the way and advocate for climate action to limit the worst effects of climate change and protect the sports and activities we love. We have an inclusive and vibrant sport sector in Hertfordshire, and we want to do our bit to support its sustainability journey” commented Adrian Ledbury, Environmental Sustainability lead at the Partnership.
This is a limited opportunity, so please click here for more details about the offer and to register your interest.
To date, using this initiative, we have supported 2 fantastic projects totalling £35,000:
- Free-to-use inclusive outdoor ‘Energy Gym’ - whilst using the gym equipment, users will be generating energy which can be used to charge small power devices such as mobile phones, air pods, or tablets. By doing this we will not only be getting those living in the local vicinity of the park, active, but supporting the environment, by educating, encouraging and empowering residents to use the energy they generate, to save them using their own electricity at home to power up devices, which will save them money, whilst reducing their personal carbon footprint.
- LED floodlights on park tennis courts - the floodlights will offer a long-lasting benefit / impact to the community by providing the opportunity to play tennis 12 months of the year, and will be complimented by a coaching and activation programme working with partners. As well as achieving multiple physical, mental and social benefits, using LED floodlighting will also significantly support environmental improvements: sustainability (lower overall power requirement); long design life with lower maintenance requirement with no lamp replacement; superior control features allowing instant controls and the ability to dim fittings to ensure very minimal light spill that can be intrusive.
