Important information for the Annual Partners Celebration Event

Date: Thursday 20th June 2024

Location: The Weston Auditorium, de Havilland Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9EU. 

 

Agenda for the day: 

10am-11am: Arrival, Registration and Networking 

11am-1pm: Main Event featuring….

-Keynote speeches from Mark Lawrie (CEO, StreetGames) and Dame Liz Nicholl CBE (World Netball President and former CEO of UK Sport)

-Partner Panel highlighting the great work of MolyFit and Leecliffe Big Local

-And lots more

1pm-2pm: Networking Lunch 

2pm-3pm: Optional 1-2-1 Clinic with HSP staff

 

Getting here and parking 

Did you know you can get to us using public transport? The following transport is close to the De Havilland Campus:  

Bus - 301, 302, 653 and 724.  

Train: Great Northern Line – Getting off at Hatfield 

Road: close to junction 3 of the A1(M). The campus entrance is signposted from J3 A1(M), postcode for sat nav use is AL10 9EU.  

If you are coming from the same organisation, why not car share and make the journey a bit greener? 

 

For those parking on site, please complete a one-time sign up on the Hozah website with your number plate and payment details. To pay to park for the day is only £2 – this can be done at any time including before or during your visit and must be completed by 23.59pm on the day you first park on campus. 

 

Upon arrival, staff will be on hand in pink hi-vis to direct you to a parking space.

If you can no longer make it?  

If you are no longer able to attend the event, we kindly ask that you let us know in advance so we can adjust our catering order and avoid any waste. 

 

1 -2 - 1 Clinics 

Officers from the Partnership will be offering a 1-2-1 clinic following the event (from 2pm) allowing people to find out more about current project areas. 

Clinics being offered are: 

  • Crime Reduction through Sport with Alex Varran 
  • HSP’s Place-Based Approach with Claire Stratford 
  • Active Ageing with Charlotte Bird 
  • Children and Young People (HAF and Early Years) with Louise Gallagher-Smith 
  • Active Environments and Environmental Sustainability in Sport with Adrian Ledbury
  • Physical Activity and Health with Will Slemmings 
  • Mental Health and Disability Inclusion with Tom Horey
  • Community Sport and Physical Activity Sector (School Sports, ParkPlay, Opening School Facilities) with Matt Rayner 
  • Moving More Activity Finder with Linzi Hyde

 

A sign-up sheet for each clinic will be available at the registration desk, and bookings for a 15-minute slot will be on a first come first serve basis.

 

Working Together 

One the day we will have an Ask and Offer Board aimed at supporting collaboration between partners. There will be ask and offer slips, where you can ‘ask for help’ or ‘offer your support’ to other partners – please come prepared to ‘connect’!
