NEW Shakey Eggs
Shakey Eggs
Give the children some shaky eggs or something similar if you do not have these in your setting. Encourage the children to hold one in each hand and to shake by using their bodies, marching, and jumping. Then get the children to sit on the floor and make a little nest. Get the children to place their eggs inside their nest and sing
“chick chick chick chick chicken , lay a little egg for me, chick chick chick chick chicken, I want one for my tea, I haven’t had an egg since breakfast and now it half past three so chick chick chick chick chicken lay a little egg for me”
Get the children to find their eggs and repeat this activity standing up encouraging children to cluck around the room and lay their eggs as they hatch and squat down.
