NEW Parachute Blossom

Parachute Blossom

Using the parachute, place it on the floor and ask the children to take a handle. Whilst seated give each child a piece of pastel coloured tissue paper replicating the colour of blossom. Using one hand invite the children to scrunch up those pieces of paper one at a time and throw them on the parachute. Once all the tissue paper has been scrunched up invite children to hold onto the edge of parachute and shake the parachute to replicate the wind making the blooms fall on the floor.

Extend this activity to standing and invite the children to lift the parachute up and lower it making the blossom cascade around the space when it falls off the parachute. Go and find the blossom and repeat the activity.
