Herts Vision Loss are very excited to invite you to join them for a VI Sports Day to launch their new Showdown table.
Showdown is a fast-moving sport, with similarities to table tennis and air hockey. It was designed for people with a visual impairment, but anyone can play! The aim of the game is to bat the ball off the side wall, along the table, under the centre screen, and into the opponent's goal. The first player to reach eleven points, or to lead by two or more points, is the winner.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday 26th September
Time: 11am - 3pm
Location: Hatfield Leisure Centre, Travellers Lane, Hatfield, AL10 8TJ
On the day, there will be a range of adapted and accessible sports for attendees to try, all delivered by experienced coaches. Activities include football (from 12:30pm), cricket, jiu jitsu, gymnastics and showdown.
People of all ages are welcome to attend, along with family members and friends. Parking is available on site, with additional overflow parking located behind the centre. There is disabled access to the left of the Lesuire Centre.
