Training Para-Athletes

Join Performance Herts for its inaugural Coach Hub event, focused on Training Para-Athletes, delivered by the Matt Hampson Foundation.

Performance Herts and the University of Hertfordshire are excited to launch their first Coach Hub event in partnership with TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship scheme).

This first event is being delivered by the Matt Hampson Foundation and is designed to equip local coaches with the knowledge and skills needed to work effectively with para-athletes.

Open to coaches from all backgrounds, this session offers valuable learning opportunities regardless of whether you currently work with para-athletes. The insights and skills gained can be applied across a wide range of coaching environments and participant groups.

This event follows on from the successful fourth session of the No Limits 2026 Disability Inclusion Learning Series, 'Supporting Gym Users with Physical Disabilities', which was also delivered by the Matt Hampson Foundation. The workshop highlighted the enthusiasm and commitment across the county to creating more welcoming and inclusive environments for everyone. Building on the momentum and partnerships established through that session, this upcoming Training Para-Athletes event provides a valuable opportunity for coaches to further develop their knowledge, confidence and inclusive coaching practice.
