Supporting Patients with Disabilities to Be More Physically Active

A webinar for health professionals, in collaboration with No Limits 2026 – Hertfordshire’s Year of Sport and Physical Activity

This webinar aims to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and confidence to better support patients with disabilities to become more physically active. Bringing together national insight, local provision, and lived experience, the session will explore the role of healthcare professionals in promoting physical activity. We will showcase inclusive opportunities across the local area and highlight how initiatives such as No Limits 2026 can support sustainable change. Attendees will leave with practical knowledge, local referral options, and inspiration to encourage inclusive physical activity for all.

| Keynote: The Role of Healthcare Professionals in Supporting Physical Activity for Disabled People

Speaker: Chloe Brown, Activity Alliance

This keynote will share insights from Activity Alliance research into the vital role healthcare professionals play in enabling people with disabilities to be physically active. The session will explore barriers, enablers, and practical ways healthcare settings can positively influence participation in inclusive physical activity.

| No Limits 2026: Overview and Opportunities for Involvement

An introduction to No Limits 2026, outlining its vision, aims, and impact. This session will explain how organisations and professionals can get involved, champion inclusion, and support opportunities for disabled people to be active in their communities.

| Local Provision Spotlight

A snapshot of local physical activity offers in Hertfordshire for people with disabilities, including who it supports, how to access services, and how healthcare professionals can signpost or refer patients. We will hear from Herts Tennis Foundation, Herts Disability Sports Foundations, and Hertfordshire County Council's Children Services.
