Supporting our No Limits Ambassadors to Tell Their Sporting Story

The first ‘Telling your Story’ workshop has been hosted as part of our No Limits Ambassador programme ready for their deployment in the campaign.

After a comprehensive onboarding process, HSP have reached a key milestone in their No Limits Ambassador programme. On Thursday 29th January, 31 ambassadors took part in the first workshop session as part of the No Limits 2026 campaign. The workshop titled ‘Telling your Story’, focused on supporting all our ambassadors to be able to articulate and confidently share their sporting story. It also served as an induction to the programme itself and a face-to-face introduction to key individuals leading the programme and the wider ambassador group. Three of our more experienced Ambassadors were asked to help facilitate the session and serve as mentors to the younger individuals in the group.

In the first half of the session, ambassadors were provided with the opportunity to network with each other and take part in team-building exercises. Ambassador Ella Beaumont expertly led a game of 'Scattergories' and a table tapping activity which proved a huge hit with the group. For the main focus of the session ambassadors completed a roadmap activity designed to help them chart their sporting story. They were asked to respond to a series of questions along a visual representation of a winding road. The road provided prompts at certain points to help individuals pinpoint key milestones in their wider journey. Barriers to participation and future aspirations were discussed while individuals were also asked to think about significant others who may have had an influence on their sporting life.  Experienced public speaker and fellow Ambassador Kris Aves provided excellent live examples, and it was great to see our ambassadors sharing their lived experience and discussing their stories with each other. Everyone’s road is different but each still a true inspiration!

Dan Angus, Project Assistant leading on the ambassador programme said:

“It was fantastic to see so many of our ambassadors together, sharing their sporting stories. We can’t wait to see them supporting events as part of the wider No Limits 2026 campaign!”

Emma Catlin, No Limits 2026 Project Lead said:

“There was such a good energy in the room, I am proud of the diverse group of individuals we have onboarded and can’t wait to see them flourish and inspire others with their sporting stories throughout the year.”

Following on from the workshop, our ambassadors will be provided with further opportunities to upskill and develop in a variety of areas throughout the year. Many are now ready to share their sporting story with wider audiences, and we know they will make excellent role models for the No Limits 2026 campaign.

The profiles of all our No Limits Ambassadors will be added to the website in the coming weeks so please take a look here: No Limits 2026 Ambassadors

Ambassador Deployment

Having now onboarded a total of 37 ambassadors of a range of ages, disabilities and various roles within the Sport and Physical activity sector. We are able to start deploying them in the community to attend events and help share their lived experience of the transformative power of sport in support of the No Limits 2026 Campaign.

If you know of a potential event that may benefit from having an ambassador, please use the link below to let us know. We cannot promise that an ambassador will be available, or suitable for the requirements of your event, but we will try our best to accommodate where possible. This could be keynote speech in a school or club setting, or attendance at a community participatory event, or key strategic meeting/event.
