Pan-Disability Fun Football Sessions

Football sessions focusing on giving children the confidence to learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun.

Access Sport are thrilled to announce the launch of new Pan-Disability Fun Football sessions in Hertfordshire designed to provide an inclusive, non-competitive and non-judgemental enjoyable environment for children of all abilities to experience football. 

Working with delivery provider Inclusive United, the goal is to create a welcoming space where everyone can play, make friends, and build confidence through sport. These sessions are free and funded by the McDonald's Fun Football programme.

It is a pilot programme and there is scope to expand if demand dictates.


Session Details:

Date: Weekly Tuesdays in August (4th, 11th, 18th and 25th)

Time: 10:30-11:30am

Location: Cotlandswick Leisure Centre, 341 High Street, St Albans, AL2 1EB

Ages: 5-11yr olds

What can you expect?

  • McDonald's Fun Football is the place to be, everyone is super awesome; from the friends you'll meet to The FA qualified coaches who deliver the sessions.
  • Sessions focus on developing your child's fundamental movement skills - agility, balance coordination and speed, as well as building confidence - required not just for football.
  • Playing for the first time or wanting to develop their skills further, Fun Football is for every child aged 5-11.

Notes from the coach:

This session targets 5-11 year olds that are disabled or neurodivergent. The sessions are fun, inclusive and non-competitive. The coaches have experience in adapting the activity to meet the needs of the group. 

Please wear trainers and sportswear. If it's sunny, please bring water, a hat, and wear sunscreen. Parents to stay.
