Throughout the No Limits 2026 campaign, the ambassadorial team have been deployed at, and participated in, a range of events, championing inclusive participation, elevating athlete stories and strengthening community engagement. Each ambassador brings a unique voice that helps challenge perceptions and inspire broader support for No Limits 2026.
Across May and early June, the ambassadorial team have supported or attended over 15 events, including some of those showcased below:
Claire Howard delivered a speech about her sporting journey to staff members of Hertfordshire County Council and their external partners. Claire emphasised the importance of Parkrun in getting her back involved in physical activity and she has since competed in various frame running events. Participants on the call were even convinced to join their own local Parkrun as a result of Claire’s inspirational keynote!
Ciaran Kiely attended Aldwickbury School in Harpenden to speak to pupils about the much loved and accessible game of boccia. Ciaran presented brilliantly and he has since returned to the school to lead on a practical session with pupils, showing them the key skills and rules to play the game.
Louise Fiddes assisted at Platypus Swimming Club’s Inter-Club Gala on Sunday 31st May where she took part in a demo swim for all attendees. She also delivered a speech about her own swimming journey and role with No Limits 2026. Karen Monk, Secretary of Platypus Swimming Club said:
On behalf of all the Club, we extend a huge thank you to Louise - she was just fantastic and we were delighted to welcome her.
Likewise, Louise herself added:
I had such a lovely time at the Platypus gala! It has such a warm community with a welcoming atmosphere! It was amazing to see everyone so supportive of each other no matter their impairment.
Anne Barker has been engaging with the walking squash sessions run by Herts Sport and Physical Activity Partnership before also attending a Qiqong session where there is a focus on using activity to benefit physical, mental and energetic wellbeing. Anne quoted:
The very slow controlled, flowing physical movements, deep rhythmic breathing, and meditative focus of Qigong was a wonderful way to ‘wind down’ after my high energy squash session at the University of Hertfordshire, that morning
Emma Tammaro has recently returned from representing Great Britain at the World Goalball Championships in Hangzhou, China. The team finished 11th place overall and Emma scored her first international goal for the team! A fantastic achievement!
Finally, Nikki Evans supported Headway Herts at their Acquired Brain Injury Games on Tuesday 2nd June. Nikki very aptly led on several yoga sessions throughout the afternoon, allowing individuals to get involved in accessible yoga – a passion that Nikki has shared through her own experiences of an acquired brain injury. Not only that, but she was also a volunteer for the event all morning where she engaged with a number of participants at registration, emphasising the importance of the No Limits 2026 campaign.
At Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership (HSP), the team are extremely proud of our ambassadors and all their achievements. Their lived experience is one of the most powerful aspects to the No Limits 2026 campaign and HSP are truly grateful for their continued support. We have 45 ambassadors of a range of ages, disabilities and roles within the Sport and Physical activity sector. Their videos and full profiles will be updated on our webpage throughout the campaign here: No Limits 2026 Ambassadors.
