Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership is delighted to announce that new content has been added to the Herts Mini Movers resource, giving professionals and families even more inspiration to help young children move, play and thrive.
Herts Mini Movers is a free online resource designed to support physical activity in the Early Years. Funded by Hertfordshire County Council and developed by movement specialist Helen Battelley, the resource supports settings and families with practical tips and easy to implement ideas to promote phyiscal activity in Early Years Settings.

Recent updates to the resource include a range of activity ideas such as:
All activities are designed to be inclusive, fun and simple to implement, helping children build confidence and enjoyment in movement from an early age.
Access the Herts Mini Movers resource
New Video Feature: Helen’s Lens
A new video feature, Helen’s Lens, has been added to the resource. In this video, Helen Battelley takes viewers on a walk through a nursery environment, sharing simple, practical tips on how everyday spaces can be adapted to encourage more movement and play. The video aims to inspire early years practitioners to make the most of their existing spaces to support children’s physical development.
Professionals can also join the Early Years Network Facebook page to access further tips, ideas and ongoing support from Helen.
