This exciting community event brings together Hertfordshire residents who want to make the most of later life. Discover inspiring activities, wellbeing support and opportunities to connect with like-minded people, all designed to support a longer, healthier, and happier future.
Whether you're looking to improve your physical fitness, keep your mind sharp, explore new interests, or simply enjoy the energy of a welcoming and supportive community, you'll find plenty to inspire you. Come along, get involved and celebrate the possibilities of ageing well!
What to expect?
Taster sessions to keep you strong, steady and mobile with a wide range of activities including Walking Tennis, Walking Squash, Pickleball, Badminton, Indoor Climbing, Line Dancing, Ballroom & Latin Dancing, Strength & Balance, Archery, Judo for Safer Falling, Bowls, and much more! There will also be a variety of seated activities available suitable for all abilities.
Keynote: we will be joined by Christine Hobson, who is a Guiness World Record Holder and is living proof that it’s never too late to get started. A former headteacher who spent years behind a desk, Christine transformed her health and fitness after retirement through strength training, lifting weights and embracing new challenges. She is now a fitness influencer and will share how building strength later in life has helped her maintain freedom, independence and confidence every day. We will also share the mission of Age Friendly: Live Better and invite you to champion the cause.

Please wear suitable trainers: Due to the physical nature of the day appropriate footwear is essential for your safety, comfort and participation in the activities.
All activity equipment will be provided on the day
