HSP's Annual Partners Event Success

The event showcased joint achievements, launched new initiatives, and strengthened collective efforts to build a healthier, more active county.

HSP was proud to host its Annual Partners Event last week, bringing together partner organisations from across Hertfordshire to reflect on the collective power that sport and physical activity has in transforming lives.

The event was a resounding success, with a wide range of partners in attendance, all committed to driving positive change in communities across the county. Attendees engaged with the thought-provoking speakers, inspiring videos, and dynamic networking discussions, including an interactive "Family Fortunes" quiz that added a unique, engaging element.

Inspiration, insight and learning was provided by speakers including:

  • Lisa Dodd-Mayne - Place Director at Sport England
  • Partner Spotlight Panalists - Lisa Bailey and Louise Reilly
  • Professor Quintin Mckellar CBE - Vice-Chancellor at the University of Hertfordshire
  • Zainab Alema - Professional Rugby Player and UH Graduate

A highlight of the event was the celebration of the counties joint achievements, further showcased through HSP’s 2023–24 Annual Impact Report, which illustrated the far-reaching outcomes made possible through partnership working.

The event also served as a launchpad for the upcoming Year of Disability Sport & Physical Activity 2026 – a county-wide campaign to grow and champion inclusive opportunities in sport and physical activity. HSP looks forward to developing this important initiative with its partners in the months ahead.
