The Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership is proud to announce it has successfully met the requirements of the Ann Craft Trust (ACT) Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity Framework, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive environments across our network.
The Ann Craft Trust Framework sets out nationally recognised standards for safeguarding adults involved in sport and physical activity. Achieving this standard demonstrates that HSP’s policies, procedures, and practices meet robust criteria designed to prevent harm, promote wellbeing, and ensure that everyone, particularly adults at risk, can participate in physical activity with confidence.
All Active Partnerships are required to meet the standard by March 2027, so achievement at this stage continues to be a testament to reflect the dedication of the organisations staff, board members, delivery partners, and safeguarding leads who have worked collaboratively to strengthen our approach. By aligning with the Ann Craft Trust standards, HSP are reinforcing its commitment to:
Protecting adults at risk from abuse and neglect
Promoting inclusive and person-centred practice
Supporting partners to develop strong safeguarding cultures
Continuously improving through reflection and shared learning
HSP will continue to review and strengthen our practices, support our partners, and champion high standards of welfare across the sector, as part of our ongoing commitment.
