High Sheriff Awards Scott Nugent at Castle Park parkrun's 7th Anniversary

The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire awarded Scott Nugent at Castle Park parkrun’s 7th anniversary for his 302 volunteer contributions

The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Annie Brewster JP presented parkrun volunteer Scott Nugent a Celebration of parkrun Award at Castle Park parkrun in Bishop Stortford for outstanding contribution to the parkrun community. The High Sheriff enjoyed celebrating the parkrun’s 7th birthday whilst high fiving and cheering on a very friendly parkrun community.

Scott is a regular and indispensable volunteer who has volunteered 302 times since 2017. He even has a part of the course named after him - ‘Scott's Corner’. Scott is always very encouraging to all participants and ensures a safe environment for everyone at a tricky course corner.

“The final Senior parkrun visit on my tour of the county to thank the armies of inspirational volunteers who enable everyone else to achieve whatever their own goal is on a Saturday morning was glorious! Specific mentions to Tracy Lavery, volunteering for the 100th time, and to the High Sheriff Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership 'Contribution to parkrun' award winner, Scott Nugent, who has volunteered a staggering 302 times and even has a part of the course named after him, "Scott's Corner"! Thank you Race Director, Feridun Kadir, and everyone at Castle Park for your lovely welcome.”

The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Annie Brewster JP
