Octobers ambassador spotlight is Daniel Longmore. Daniel is a visually impaired goalball player with Watford Wizards Goalball Club, who are current Regional Champions (25/26). Daniel is also one of three Watford Wizards athletes on the Goalball UK National Performance Pathway Programme through the Goalball Academy. Most recently, Daniel has supported the No Limits 2026 campaign deployed as an ambassador at HSP's Annual Partners Event (July) and Herts Vision Loss’ VI Sports Day (September).
Taking place on the 26th of September, the Herts Vision Loss VI Sports Day was a multisport event designed to launch and promote their brand-new asset, a Showdown table, which will be stored for public access at Hatfield Leisure Centre and feature as a regular activity in their Vision in Motion project for Children and Young People. Similar to table tennis and air hockey, players compete one-on-one on a specially designed table, using paddle-shaped bats to hit a ball containing small metal bearings that rattle as it moves. The aim being to score in the centre goal at either end of the table. Alongside Showdown, participants on the day could also try VI Football, Cricket, Jiu Jitsu and Gymnastics, providing a fantastic opportunity for over 15 visually impaired individuals to engage with sport and physical activity.
In his role as an ambassador, Daniel did an excellent job at engaging with those present, encouraging them to take part while also showcasing his own ability to excel across the sports present. Daniel continues to act as a fantastic role model for those with a visual impairment and we are delighted to have his support as a No Limits 2026 ambassador.
