Headway Herts ABI Games Roadshow 2026
Join Headway Hertfordshire at this summer’s ABI Games™ Roadshow 2026, for an action‑packed day taking place at Hertfordshire Sports Village.
Headway Hertfordshire, a franchise of the National Charity Headway UK, work tirelessly to improve life after a brain injury - they provide specialised services, information, and support to survivors, their families, and caregivers.
This Summer Headway Hertfordshire are hosting the ABI Games™ Roadshow 2026. An open event for all adults living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Held in the interim year of the National ABI Games™, a bigger event run biannually by their fellow franchisee’s Headway Worcestershire, this regional roadshow is designed to be a taster event focusing on physical activities helping prospective participants prepare for the next ABI Games™ 2027. It will provide an enjoyable day focused on trying new sports, having fun and making new friends.
This action-packed event offers an inclusive and supportive opportunity for participants to take part in a range of activities designed to encourage personal achievement, enjoyment and connection. This is not about winning. This is about courage. Confidence. Community.
Throughout the day, attendees can take part in a variety of walking sports including tennis, football, rugby, cricket, badminton, as well as boccia and bowls. Participants can also enjoy board games such as Chess, Draughts and Connect 4 which will be on offer in a downtime zone made available throughout the day to use whilst dipping in and out of the carousel of physical activities on offer.
Please note:
Whilst lunch is not provided by the event; some mobile food trucks will be available onsite alongside the normal Sports Café offer for attendees to purchase their own food or attendees are welcome to bring your own packed lunch. There will be a dedicated indoor space reserved to eat, in an adjacent building separate from the activities arena.
Event registration must be completed at least seven days prior to the event.
Carers are welcome to come along with participants.
