Funded Active Medicine Training for Hertfordshire Health Walk Volunteers
The Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership (HSP) is excited to run a fully funded training opportunity for Hertfordshire Health Walk volunteers
This Active Medicine training will be delivered on Thursday 23rd January 3-4pm, online via Teams.
If you are a Hertfordshire Health Walk Volunteer, sign up for the training via the registration link to secure your place.
Active Medicine training is a CPD accredited course designed to increase confidence in talking about and referring to physical activity. This, 1-hour, online and interactive session will cover the importance and benefits of being active, national guidance and tips tailored to you, helpful resources, local opportunities, and positive conversation skills. Participants will receive a free digital resource pack following the session.
Although the course was originally designed for people working in clinical settings (GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists, etc), it is also very relevant for those that are in non-clinical roles, such as social prescribers, befrienders, and volunteers. Attending will give the Health Walk volunteers confidence to share the benefits of being active more widely, hopefully encouraging more people to join led walks.
