Exciting Return of Summer Parks for 2024

We are proud to announce the return of the highly successful Summer Parks programme for 2024.

We are proud to announce the return of the highly successful Summer Parks programme for 2024. This free initiative, which is funded through Hertfordshire County Council's HAPpy Programme designed specifically for 12-16 year olds, promises three weeks of activities and creativity in the heart of five of Hertfordshire's parks.

Following the triumph of last year’s pilot project, which engaged over 700 young people, Summer Parks 2024 is set to be even bigger and better. This programme bridges the gap for teenagers who may not engage with other summer initiatives, providing a festival-like atmosphere where they can enjoy sports, arts and crafts, and much more.

Participants can look forward to an exciting line-up of activities including:- a pump track and climbing wall to graffiti workshops and nature-inspired art, there’s something for everyone. Additionally, food provision will be available through vouchers redeemable at local food outlets.

HSP is committed to making this programme accessible and inclusive. The events will take place in easily accessible parks across Hertfordshire, ensuring young people from all backgrounds can participate. The open, welcoming environment will provide a safe space for teenagers to socialize, stay active, and develop new skills.

Registration for Summer Parks 2024  is now open.

“We’re excited to bring back Summer Parks for another year,” said Matt Rayner, Strategic Lead at HSP. “Our goal is to provide a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where young people can thrive. We can’t wait to see the positive impact this programme will have on our community again this summer. Thank you to all five Local Authorities who have help fund this programme in addition to the funding from Hertfordshire County Council's HAPpy programme.”
