NEW Kings & Queens
Kings & Queens
Let younger children explore quoits (or rings) first, feeling the weight, size and texture helps them learn. Show simple moves they can copy (for example, walk slowly with hands behind the back). Give time for them to listen, respond and enjoy the music.
Adpation / Extension:
- Older children can design a short “royal dance.”
- When pairing children, match them carefully (similar height or ability) so both feel safe and successful.
Extra ideas:
If children can already jump over a quoit, make a small tower to jump over next. Teach safe landing: bend knees, swing arms, land softly.
