HAPpy Workforce Development
HAPpy (Hertfordshire’s Holiday Activity and Food programme) runs during the Spring, Summer and Winter holidays.
In any given phase up to 80 different providers can deliver a broad range of free, fun experiences that must include physical activity, enrichment, a healthy meal and snacks for children aged 4-16 (reception to year 11) who are registered for benefits-related free school meals or who are referred to the programme through special circumstances.
As part of our wider aim for the HAPpy programme to contribute to workforce development in the county we have funded the delivery of one Multi-Skills Activator course, as run by StreetGames, to students at each of the four main Further Education Colleges in Hertfordshire.
To follow up this training we would like to link attendees up with HAPpy providers that are most local to them to enable them to directly follow up on opportunities for work experience or entry jobs in the industry.
Please find below a list of HAPpy providers actively recruiting and the areas of the county they operate in – simply select an area and it will list all opportunities available to you with a short bio of each organisation, their website to find out more and contact details for you to follow up directly.
