Volunteers are the lifeblood of community sport and have always been a pivotal part of the sport and physical activity sector.

Approximately 100,000 people in Hertfordshire volunteer at least once a month, a large number of these in sport and physical activity.

There is a vibrant volunteer community across the county supported by a number of agencies and organisations that support voluntary groups and clubs. There are six Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) that cover Hertfordshire, please see a list below:

GoVolHerts is a one-stop-hub for all volunteering queries, opportunities and best practice advice across the county of Hertfordshire. If you're an organisation in Hertfordshire looking for volunteers to support your service, GoVolHerts is an essential free resource making volunteer recruitment as straightforward as possible.

GoVolHerts is funded by Hertfordshire County Council to provide the service and the project is delivered by North Herts & Stevenage Centre for Voluntary Service (NH&SCVS).

Whether you are an individual who would like to volunteer or an organisation looking for people to support your work, GoVolHerts allows you to:
