Sport Welfare Officer Introduction

Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership is committed to promoting strong welfare practices and safe sports for children, young people, and adult

Joe, who has been with the partnership for 22 months in various roles, has taken on the roleb of Sport Welfare Officer following a recruitment process, the first of 63 officers to be employed across the country thanks to new investment from Sport England.


Joe's role is to provide additional support to sports clubs by helping the Club Welfare Officers embed safeguarding policies and procedures and sharing strong practices. As a support role for clubs, Joe is keen to create and strengthen links across the county with organisations working on safeguarding to improve safe and inclusive experiences for participants.
