Are you interested in reaching more customers, free marketing and helping Hertfordshire to become more active?

Open data is about making your activities and sessions easier for everyone to find out about, in the same way that it’s simple to search and book a flight, hotel room, or order a takeaway. Shortly, we at the Herts Sports Partnership will have an ‘Activity Finder’ on our website, which we want as many leisure centres, sports clubs, instructors, community spaces and organisations to help populate with details of your activity sessions.

On 26 November we held a workshop explaining the features and benefits of opening data, and what to do next. The presentations from the workshop are below, and explain more about what opening your data means:

Open Active presentation – Tara Lee

Open Active presentation – Tom Marley

Open data uses existing booking systems to pull through key information like venues, prices, times and dates of sessions. If you don’t already use a booking system, Open Sessions is free and easy to use, and will allow your information to be integrated into our Activity Finder.
