The Outdoor Teacher’s ‘Forest School Activities Online Training’ is an Outdoor Learning training with lifetime access to over 100 videos and resources with links to the curriculum. These resources have been created by Marina Robb, who is a Forest School Association endorsed trainer and co-author of ‘Learning with Nature’ and ‘The Essential Guide to Forest School and Nature Pedagogy’.

The ‘Forest School Activities Online Training’ costs £195 for a single licence. Discounts are available for multiple licences for staff teams and schools can use their PE Premium for Outdoor Learning training. This online training is designed for teachers or teaching assistants who would like to learn a range of Forest School activities or be a valuable assistant to a Forest School leader.

Cricket for Girls

Course name: Level 1 and Level 2

With the uncertainty of the next few months we have decided to move our Level 1 and Level 2 Teacher CPD Courses Online. This means wherever you are geographically you will be able to up skill yourself and be ready for your cricket lessons and sessions in the summer. Our courses are open to all, females and males, teachers and coaches. Each course will be delivered by Lydia Greenway and will include two parts, it is recommended that you attend both parts, however it is not essential. For teachers with limited or no experience in teaching cricket, the Level 1 course will cover:

  • All basics techniques for batting, bowling and fielding
  • Fun and engaging drills and games to practice the main skills
  • Terminology used in cricket
  • The basic rules for running pairs cricket
  • Basic umpiring
  • The pathway for a female cricketer

For teachers with existing experience and understanding for delivering cricket, the Level 2 course will cover:

  • How to introduce and manage the transition to hardball cricket
  • Fielding positions and how to set a field
  • How to introduce wicket keeping
  • How to introduce and progress running between the wickets
  • Insights from England players

British Dodgeball

Introduction to Dodgeball
A basic 60 minute course aimed at young leaders and community leaders. This course covers the rules, equipment, skills used in dodgeball alongside safety considerations.

Introduction to School Dodgeball for Teachers
A 90 minute course aimed at sports coaches and teachers This course focuses on the rules, equipment and skills used in dodgeball alongside how to use dodgeball as a vehicle in PE lessons to improve physical literacy. This course is specifically aimed at those working in school environments. It gives an introduction to the correct rules, equipment and sporting code used in dodgeball. It will also help you consider how to lead safe sessions and coach the basic skills of dodgeball. Finally, this course contains school-specific pages which will help you to adapt dodgeball for PE lessons, planning and teaching effectively.

Introduction to Coaching Dodgeball
A 60 minute course aimed at players of the sport who wish to begin their coaching journey. This course focuses on coaching approaches and leadership styles.
