Adan Freeman

My role falls within the Sport for Social Change (SfSC) portfolio. I am responsible for coordinating the Education and Employment project, which is aimed at identifying hard to reach young people, and providing them with opportunities to access volunteering and training opportunities to provide them with the chance to be part of a fit-for-purpose workforce which supports the SfSC delivery. The approach will provide opportunities that fit broadly under the following categories;

  • Short-term volunteering opportunities
  • Traineeships to up-skill young people and provide them with a formal qualification
  • Apprenticeships at both Level 2 and Level 3 to develop a fit-for-purpose workforce to deploy within our targeted interventions
  • Degree Apprenticeships

The project is in its infancy, so plans are currently being developed, and we are looking to work with partners who work with hard-to-reach young people, as well as identifying deployment opportunities for these young people to develop their skill-sets, and to support the sport sector within Hertfordshire.
