If your New Year resolution is to be more active why not take the plunge and take part in the Marie Curie Swimathon 2010. Entrants can take part in either a personal distance challenge of up to 5K and enter the Swimathon by themselves or part of a team of friends.

There’s also a corporate challenge designed for workplace teams to challenge each other to swim 5K. And don’t worry if it’s been a while since you last took to the pool, there’s also an activity called Simplyswim, that will allow you to take part by swimming shorter distances at any participating pool at any time.
