Funding has been secured from the Big Lottery Fund to train women from black and minority ethnic communities as exercise leaders or sports coaches so they can then lead exercise sessions in their local communities. Qualifications are aviable in a number of different sports from Nordic Walking to Studio Instructor (Aerobics)...
Are you interested in training for FREE?
Please see below for a booklet detailing courses that are available as part of this project. Funding is limited to train 30 people per year and as you will see from the booklet the cost of each course varies so spaces will be limited for some qualifications. We are hoping people will be interested in the full range of courses and will therefore be able to satisfy everyone’s requests.
In return for receiving free training, all we ask is for all those involved to commit to deliver activities for this project for at least 12 months. This could be one session per week. We have £10 per hour in the budget to pay instructors, so depending on how much your course costs, we would expect you to ‘give back’ to the project for a set number of hours before being paid more than £10 per session. Please see training agreement, retake and feedback session forms.
So whether you already have coaching experience or NO coaching experience, there are a number of courses avaiable for you to be involved.
